AI Tools Create a Legal Mess in British Courts

British employment courts are struggling after a massive spike in lawsuits. Legal claims rose by nearly 40 percent last year. Many of these filings were created using AI tools like ChatGPT or Grok.
The system is now clogged with 64,000 unfinished cases. Some AI documents are hundreds of pages long and contain fake laws that do not exist. This behavior creates a huge backlog that slows down the entire legal process.
Real people with genuine workplace complaints are now stuck waiting for help. Because the system is flooded with low quality filings, legitimate cases are being pushed to the back of the line.
