Alibaba releases powerful new Qwen model

Alibaba just launched Qwen3.8 Max. It earned a score of 56 on the industry benchmark, which is a big improvement over the previous version.

This new model now performs just as well as Claude Opus 4.8. It shows that Alibaba is closing the gap with top competitors.

Even with these gains, the Kimi K3 model remains the better deal. It offers higher test scores for 25 percent less money.
