Amazon Shifts Focus to New AI Research
Amazon is moving away from its Nova AI line. This includes models like Premier, Omni, Reel, and Canvas. These tools will stay online for now, but the company is no longer updating them.
Management is putting its resources into a new Frontier Model Research group instead. They want to start fresh with a different approach to building intelligent software.
Expect to see the results of this change at the re:Invent conference this fall. Amazon plans to launch a new foundation model there to take the place of its previous work.
