Big Four Firms Caught Using Fake AI Sources

PwC Middle East recently published several reports that include fake sources and made up claims. A tool called GPTZero analyzed these documents and found that one report was mostly written by AI. It also promoted a company product using customer references that do not exist.
This is a growing problem for the accounting industry. KPMG, Deloitte, and Ernst and Young have faced similar issues with AI tools creating inaccurate information. Now every member of the Big Four has been caught using AI that hallucinates facts.
Companies are rushing to use new technology before it is ready. These mistakes show why human oversight is still necessary. Relying on AI without checking the details is leading to serious errors in professional documents.
