Claude Fable 5 Gets Smarter With Biology Questions

Anthropic just released an update for Claude Fable 5. This change fixes a major annoyance where the AI would refuse to answer simple biology questions. It used to route these queries to a weaker model that often failed to help.
The company reports that these unnecessary blocks dropped by 85 percent in their tests. You will now get direct answers for common health and educational topics instead of being handed off to a different system. This includes things like reading lab reports or learning about basic biology.
This improvement makes the tool much more useful for students and people asking general health questions. You should notice fewer interruptions when you ask about these subjects. The AI is now better at understanding when a request is safe to answer.
