Google creates a tiny, smart tool for blood sugar tracking

The team at Google and UNSW Sydney built a system called GlucoFM. Instead of looking at blood sugar readings as a single line, it splits the data into two parts. One part tracks long-term patterns while the other focuses on quick spikes.
Even though the model is very small, it outperforms much larger systems. It hit high marks in testing across many different patient groups. It proves that a compact design can be more effective than a massive one for medical data.
This is still just a research project for now. It does not have any official medical approvals. You cannot use it for clinical decisions, but it is a promising step for future health monitoring.
