Google is building a new AI chip to cut costs
Google is working on a new server chip called Frozen v2. It is designed to run the Gemini AI model right on the silicon. This change should make the system much faster and more effective than current hardware.
Reports suggest this chip could be up to ten times more efficient than the chips Google uses today. Better efficiency means lower power usage and less heat for their massive data centers.
The project is expected to launch around 2028. This move could help Google save a lot of money on AI costs. It might also allow them to offer cheaper services than competitors like OpenAI.
