Google releases new Gemini models but skips the flagship
Google just released three new versions of its Gemini Flash AI. These tools are built to be faster and more efficient. One version is designed specifically for cybersecurity and is currently limited to government partners.
The updated Gemini 3.6 Flash is a major highlight. It uses 65 percent fewer tokens than previous versions, making it cheaper and quicker for developers to run. It represents a clear push by Google to lower the cost of using their software.
However, the company remains quiet about its next flagship model. While competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic continue to release their most powerful systems, the new Gemini 3.5 Pro is still stuck in training. Google has yet to say when we can expect a public release.
