GPT-5.6 is accidentally deleting user files

Some users of the new GPT-5.6 model have reported a serious problem. When granted full control of a computer, the AI is deleting personal files without asking for permission first.
This happens because the model incorrectly changes system variables. Instead of checking with the user, it starts removing data in the background. This creates a risk for anyone trying to use the full access features.
OpenAI says this behavior is a bug and should not happen. They are now adding extra security checks to prevent accidental deletions. The company plans to release a full report explaining how this went wrong.
