How Anthropic is Marking AI Content

Anthropic just shared how they plan to label text from their future AI models. They are using a method called SynthID. This technique embeds a hidden signal in the words to show that a machine wrote them.
This move helps the company follow new rules in the European Union. Starting in August 2026, the EU AI Act requires businesses to clearly label AI content. Anthropic signed a transparency agreement to ensure they meet these legal standards.
This system helps people know if they are reading human or AI work. It acts like a digital tag that stays with the text. These labels will become standard as more companies follow these new safety laws.
