IREN Secures $2.4 Billion for New AI Hardware
IREN is building a major AI data center in Canada. They need expensive hardware to power their cloud services. To pay for these machines, they just signed a deal for 2.4 billion dollars.
The money comes from investment funds managed by Blue Owl Capital. This cash will be used specifically to purchase the latest NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs. These chips are essential for handling complex AI tasks.
This deal includes two different types of loans. The funding ensures IREN can finish its Mackenzie data center on time. It is a big move that marks a major investment in AI infrastructure.
