Is Nvidia Really Faster Than Cerebras?

Nvidia says its new Groq 3 LPX chip is four times faster than what Cerebras offers. They measured this by hitting 3,400 tokens per second using a specific model. This sounds like a massive jump in performance for AI users.

However, the math behind these claims is not as simple as it looks. To reach these top speeds, Nvidia had to link at least 64 chips together. In contrast, Cerebras can hit its performance targets using only one or two chips.

We still do not know how these systems compare when running more complex AI tasks. Experts are waiting to see if Nvidia can keep these speeds up as models grow larger. For now, the hardware battle is far from settled.
