Is Your AI Actually Just Automation?

Tech companies are labeling basic automation tools as AI to attract more customers. This practice is known as agent washing. They take old, rigid systems and slap a trendy new label on them.
Real AI can handle unexpected problems and learn from them. Automation just follows a set of strict rules you wrote earlier. If a task changes slightly, simple tools will break, but real AI can adapt.
Ask for a demonstration of how the tool handles a new or difficult scenario. If the software cannot explain its reasoning or fix a mistake on its own, it is just old automation. Do not pay extra for a fake upgrade.
