Medtronic Invests $700 Million in Surgical Robotics

Medtronic just announced a 700 million dollar investment in Cornerstone Robotics. This deal gives Medtronic the rights to sell the Sentire surgical system in certain countries outside of the United States.
Medtronic plans to offer the Sentire system alongside its own Hugo robotic platform. By selling both products together, the company hopes to provide surgeons with more options in the operating room.
This partnership marks a big move for Medtronic as it expands its robotic surgery business. It is a strategic effort to grow their influence and reach more hospitals around the world.
