Meta may rent its extra AI power to Anthropic

Meta built a massive amount of computing hardware to train its own AI models. Now the company is looking for ways to put that extra capacity to work.

Reports suggest Anthropic might become the first major customer for this service. This deal would provide Anthropic with the high speed processing power it needs to grow.

If this moves forward, it marks a shift for Meta as it starts acting like a cloud provider. Other companies could follow if they have hardware sitting idle.
