More websites are using AI to write content

Researchers looked at nearly half a million websites to see how many use AI. They found that over one third of sites launched recently contain machine written text.

Commercial websites are the biggest users of this technology. You are ten times more likely to find AI writing on a dot com site than on government or school pages.

This shift is changing how we read online. More information is now generated by software rather than human writers.
