Netflix is using AI in 300 projects
Netflix now uses AI in about 300 different shows and movies. Most of this work happens during editing and post-production. It helps teams finish tasks much faster than before.
One example is the docuseries The American Experiment. It features 17 minutes of AI-assisted footage. The company finished this work in half the time for half the cost.
Netflix plans to use these savings to make more movies and shows. They do not plan to cut their twenty billion dollar annual budget. Instead they want to produce more content for viewers.
