New AI lets robots learn tasks in seconds
Generalist AI just released GEN-1.5. This model allows robots to learn new movements by watching a single demonstration that lasts only 3 to 12 seconds. You do not need to rewrite code or spend time training the machine.
The system works by processing sensor data in real time. It does not require any special updates or complex fine tuning to understand the task. Once it sees the demo, the robot can immediately attempt the action on its own.
In early tests, the robot completed a variety of different manipulation tasks with strong results. This shift makes it much faster to teach robots how to help with daily chores. It is a big step forward for practical robotics.
