NIST Wants Your Help Rebuilding the Vulnerability Database
The National Vulnerability Database tracks security flaws in software, but it needs an update. NIST is now looking for ideas on how to make it faster and easier to use.
They specifically want to know how artificial intelligence should fit into the system. They are asking what parts of the process should be automated and where humans still need to stay in control.
You can submit your comments starting August 12. The window for feedback closes on October 13, 2026, at midnight.
