Nvidia Backs Massive New AI Campus in Ohio

Nvidia just committed to back a huge data center project in Pike County, Ohio. They are guaranteeing up to 105 billion dollars in lease costs for the new site. This makes them the primary financial partner for the massive build.
The project will be located at the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. It is being developed by SB Energy, which is owned by SoftBank. The site is expected to generate 8 gigawatts of power for AI operations.
This deal shows how much power and money go into building modern AI infrastructure. OpenAI plans to lease the space once it is finished. It is one of the largest computing projects ever announced.
