OpenAI and Nvidia make a massive new data center deal

OpenAI is moving into a new 8 gigawatt facility in Ohio to power its future growth. The project is backed by a massive guarantee from Nvidia worth up to 105 billion dollars.
Nvidia will serve as the exclusive supplier of computer chips for these servers. This partnership represents one of the largest infrastructure bets in the history of the tech industry.
Experts note that big tech companies are currently sitting on 3 trillion dollars in hidden AI commitments. These massive future costs do not show up on their standard balance sheets.
