OpenAI blocks Cursor after SpaceX deal

OpenAI decided to cut off access because they do not trust Elon Musk to follow contract terms. They cited his history of ignoring legal agreements when making this choice.

Cursor founders are not worried about the change. They say that OpenAI models now make up only five percent of the traffic on their platform.

The tool already works with other providers like Anthropic and Google. Users will still be able to write and debug code using these alternatives.
