OpenAI Drops Prices for Cheaper Models

You can now use the GPT-5.6 Luna and Terra models for much less money. OpenAI updated their pricing page on July 30 to reflect these new rates. This makes building applications with these models much more affordable.
The price for the Luna model dropped by 80 percent. The Terra model is now 20 percent cheaper than before. These changes apply to both input and output costs for every million tokens.
The most powerful model, known as Sol, remains at the same price. If you use the API, these lower rates are already in effect today. You can check the official rate card to see exactly how much you will save.
