Poolside Launches Laguna S 2.1 Coding Model

Poolside just released a new coding model called Laguna S 2.1. It is an open-weight model that handles complex tasks very well for its size. It features a large one million token context window.
This model is efficient because it only uses 8 billion active parameters. It performs just as well as, or better than, much larger models on industry coding tests. You can run it on a single NVIDIA DGX Spark system.
The model is available under the OpenMDW-1.1 license. Developers looking for a powerful tool that does not require massive hardware will find this version very useful.
