River AI Raises $1.1B to Build Personal AI

River AI launched out of stealth only two months ago. Today, the company announced it raised $1.1 billion across its early funding rounds. Major investors include General Catalyst, Nvidia, and AMD.
Founder Igor Babuschkin left xAI to start this new venture. His team wants to completely rebuild how personal artificial intelligence works. They believe current tech stacks are not built for what users actually need.
The massive cash injection proves investors still have huge appetite for big AI bets. River AI will use the funds to expand its engineering team and scale up its core technology.
