SpaceX AI Revenue Soars but Profits Lag

SpaceX saw its AI revenue jump to $2.56 billion in the second quarter of 2026. This is a huge increase compared to the $737 million the company earned during the same period last year.
The surge happened because SpaceX started renting out its powerful computer chips to other AI firms. These new cloud contracts are bringing in a lot of money very quickly.
Even with this growth, the division is still losing money. It costs a fortune to build the massive data centers needed to run these services, and those costs are currently higher than the income coming in.
