SpaceXAI Opens Up Their Coding Tool Code

You can now look at the source code for the Grok coding tool. SpaceXAI published this on July 15, 2026, under an open source license. It covers the parts that manage agents, tools, and the text interface.
Even though the code is public, the main Grok 4.5 model remains private. You can read the code to see how it works, but the company is not accepting outside changes or contributions.
This release uses the Rust programming language. It is a good way to learn how their system handles tasks and connects to different tools.
