Tech Giants Agree on AI Agent Standard

Big tech companies are finally working together on AI tools. Amazon, OpenAI, Microsoft, Cursor, and Vercel just launched a shared standard called Agent Plugins.
Until now, developers had to build different versions of their plugins for every single AI platform. This new open standard fixes that problem by creating one simple format for all AI extensions.
Version one uses a standard manifest file and supports both agent skills and MCP servers. This means developers can build an AI tool once and use it everywhere.
