Waymo Adds Gemini Voice Assistant to Robotaxis
Waymo is adding Google Gemini to its custom robotaxis. You can find a new icon on the car screen to start a conversation. While the car drives itself, the AI assistant is ready to help you with your requests.
You can use your voice to change the temperature or adjust the music. Gemini can also answer general questions while you are on the road. It handles these tasks so you can relax during your ride.
This update is part of Waymo's effort to make traveling more convenient. The system is available now in the Ojai vehicle fleet. Just tap the screen to chat and let the assistant manage your cabin settings.
