Why developers are paying more for Anthropic

New data shows that Anthropic models cost over four times more than the average option on Vercel. Even with these higher prices, they captured most of the spending last month.

Anthropic processed less than a third of all AI requests but took home nearly two thirds of the total revenue. This indicates that companies are willing to pay a premium for their specific performance.

Developers clearly value the quality of these models over the cheaper alternatives. Price is not the only factor when businesses decide which tools to build with.
