Why employees are hiding their AI use

Most workers now use artificial intelligence tools that their bosses never approved. This is not really a surprise. People have always found their own ways to work faster, with or without IT department approval. AI just makes this habit much more common.

The real issue is not how fast people are adopting these tools. The bigger story is what this tells us about workplaces today. When staff feel the need to hide the software they use, it points to a gap between what workers need and what companies actually provide.

Banning these tools simply does not work. Instead of fighting the trend, smart companies are starting to listen. They want to understand which tools help the most so they can support their teams safely and openly.
