World Labs turns one robot task into thousands of tests

Fei-Fei Li’s startup World Labs built a new way to train robots. Their system takes one physical action and turns it into thousands of digital variations. This allows robots to practice repeatedly in a virtual space.

After training in the simulator, these robots successfully completed tasks for an hour on five different machines. They worked entirely on their own without any human help. It is a faster way to prepare robots for the real world.

We still need to see if this works outside of controlled settings. Simple tasks are easy, but complex daily life is much harder for machines to master. We will keep watching to see how this technology improves over time.
